A full day Canine First Responder Course, which includes dog first aid. The CFR course is a comprehensive workshop, which is ideal for dog professionals and also suitable for pet dog and service dog owners.
Self-study is required leaving more time on the day for hands-on practical study and for practising your new skills. A learner pack will be sent to you before the course and an optional Canine First Responder course on a USB drive is available at an additional cost.
The Canine First Responder Course is more than just a dog first aid course because it comprises of primary first aid and secondary care. So, you’ll gain an understanding of how to administer first aid or CPR to a dog in an emergency situation and act with confidence until a vet arrives. Learn the same canine emergency response skills used by dog handlers in several police forces including the Metropolitan Police, the Prison Service, and the reception staff and resuscitation team at Fitzpatrick’s Referrals.
This course teaches you hands-on practical first responder skills in a safe environment. You’ll receive an internationally recognised certificate on successful completion of the course. The Canine First Responder Course can be adapted to suit all abilities. Personal Assistants and assistance dogs are welcome by arrangement. Please contact us before booking so we can ensure your requirements are met.
This course is held at Battle and District Guide Hall which has parking facilities, disabled access, toilets and kitchen.
